We always love it when our visitors bring objects to the Museum to identify. Jon Ambler affectionately calls this activity “Stump the Chump”!
Today, Barbara Mueller brought in this brass cylinder and is trying to find out any information about what it could be. She has taken it to many places including the Flea Market, where it was a great draw, but although everyone has good guesses no one knows for sure. It may be from a Navy ship, so we suggested that she visit Lewis Bartholemew at the HMCS Alberni Project and Museum.
Below are some photographs of the cylinder and other pieces. If anyone knows anything about it please contact us through the comment section below or at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will let Barbara know!
