poppy cardLast year’s Centenary Art Installation at the Tower of London, was an awe inspiring project that moved millions. Each poppy was handmade out of clay and no two were alike.

What you may not have known is that all those poppies were sold in support of veterans and one of our volunteers was lucky enough to have relatives in England secure him one.

Gary Wiffen isn’t keeping the poppy though. Instead he had a case made for it with inspiring graphics including a picture of his uncle who was in the Coldstream Guards and was killed in action in France in WWI, and has donated it to the Comox Legion.

It will hang in the Legion as a tribute to all veterans.
