Our Museum community looks forward every year to seeing the Snowbirds practise in the skies around us.  This year, the theme is “A Tradition of Military Aviation Excellence“.  I thought you might like to read this introduction to this year’s theme:

“The Canadian Forces Snowbirds proudly and eagerly uphold the legacy of military aviation excellence as Canada’s Air Demonstration Team.  This year, Canada and the United States of America mark an important milestone in our relationship  and friendship with the 60th Anniversary of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

Your 2018 Canadian Forces Snowbirds reflect the diversity and opportunities available equally to men and women in the Canadian military.  Each member of the Snowbirds’ team is a full time serving member who demonstrates the skill, professionalism, and teamwork essential to achieving aviation excellence.

In their 48th season, the Snowbirds continue to inspire with thrilling aerobatic performances and breathtaking fly-bys over cities and towns…” (credit Cpl Sebastian Boucher)
