Many of our Museum’s visitors ask us about the Spitfire that was housed here for some time, having restoration work done on it. Why isn’t it here any longer? Where is it? What will happen to it?
You might know that the Spitfire is with Vintage Wings Canada, back east, having the remainder of the needed work done. We recently received an update and a couple of photos that you might find interesting. The wings are now on and the aircraft is being painted in its Y2K colours. They are looking forward to engine runs this coming fall. When we learn more, we’ll let you know.
In the meantime, enjoy these photos!
