Sherry Irvine, a highly respected and loved volunteer at CAFM has left us to be closer to her grandchildren on the mainland.

All of us here at CAFM would like to wish her well and to let her know that she will be greatly missed.

“Like all of us Sherry found her own niche in the museum when she first volunteered here. Fortunately for us , Sherry took on the Mammoth task of organizing the Photo Bank. In this she has done magnificently and leaves behind a heritage that will make us think of her for a long time to come.

I can’t think as to why Sherry and Russell wish to go back to the overcrowded and expensive Mainland, but gather that grand-children outweigh our sage advise to stay. Go Figure!!!

But we wish them well and will always give them a warm welcome if they ever come back to visit.”

CVAFMA Board President Bill Cuell

At yesterday’s CMC meeting, Mel Birne, head of Collections management took the time to acknowledge Sherry’s many contributions to the committee.

Farewell Sherry, but remember it will never be goodbye!
