Our Museum has a number of events and exhibits coming up!

First up ~ The Classic Military Movie Series @1300 continues.  Admission is by donation and you can pick up your tickets here at the Museum prior to the movie.  Tickets are available on a first come first serve basis.

The movies we’re featuring include:

REACH FOR THE SKY – This is the true story of Douglas Bader who overcame the loss of both legs, became a fighter pilot, and then Wing Commander of Canada’s 242 Spitfire Squadron during World War II. (not suitable for children)

THE DAM BUSTERS – This is the story of the ‘bouncing bomb’ and the Canadian involvement.  This classic 1955 film captures the tensions and extreme bravery of this daring raid. (not suitable for children)

REUNION OF GIANTS – This is an excellent documentary story of the tour of the last two flying Lancasters in the world.

THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN – This is the historical re-enactment of the air war for control of the skies over Britain as the Luftwaff and Royal Air Force determine whether or not an invasion can take place.  Canada’s heroes are part of this battle.  (not suitable for children)
