Hangar 268 is located in our Heritage Air Park and is home to our Heritage Vehicles. It is also home to our Heritage Maintenance Team and the work they do. But recently, a special project has a home here!
Geoff, one of our volunteers, is also a gifted artist. He is working on reconditioning a painting that has hung outside the Museum for many years. Geoff explains, “The painting was originally done at the suggestion of Bob Richter, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the reopening of the Comox Air Force Base. 407 Squadron was operating converted Lancasters at the time. The panels were never finished as they were needed for an occasion.” Geoff is working now to complete the painting and to restore other sections of it.
